Gill Jolly

- First Officer -

- Trainer -

- Behaviourist -

- Canine First Aider -

Gill teaches life skills to all ages and breeds at Red Dog Training, as well as teaching Agility, Gun Dogs, Tricks, and Treibball. In addition, she runs workshops for recall, loose-lead walking, and clicker training. When time permits she offers private 1-2-1 sessions for problem behaviours such as reactivity, barking, and resource guarding.

Having previously owned two very well-behaved Dobermanns, she took on the challenge of a working Springer Spaniel from the RSPCA. Lucy had many behavioural problems but, with support and guidance from Gill, she has competed in Agility and worked in the shooting field as a trained gun dog. She also works as a stooge dog for our Reactive Dog classes, where she is an inspiration to all clients and a credit to Gill.

Gill now fosters dogs from English Springer Spaniel Welfare and starts their rehabilitation so they can be rehomed permanently.

She is qualified with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers,  the Pet Professional Guild, and holds a current Canine First Aid certificate.

English Springer Spaniel

Swimming, and anything edible!

Best trick:

Tidying up her toys

(she has a pedal bin that she works with a paw).

Special skill:

Beating and picking up

on local shoots.

Lucy (show name Lucy Lastic) is a working rescue spaniel.

She's a real all-rounder: Trick Meister, Agility competitor, Gun Dog, and Red Dog Training's resident field hoover after training sessions.
